It has always been the striving and determination of Mr. Maendra Jocelino Araujo Alvares, who is the single individual who is responsible for “Ancestral Goa” and the Big Foot, in Loutolim, to carve a niche for hinterland tourism in this state, of a different sort . Therefore, he attempted in various ways to bring back long forgotten aspects of cultural mores and revive the traditions in ways that were interesting and invigiorating. Games, Festive values, the age-old aspects of the “Carnaval” and even, the focus on festivals like “São João” was made colourful and exotic, which gained the premise a lot of interest and involvement from the goans, themselves.
What the site needs is an infusion of policies geared towards the improvement and financial aids directed towards the smooth and effective functioning of it all.
Finance is needed towards the maintenance of the antiques, the lifting of certain taxes which will enable a burdenless function and the active propogation of the premise in all the promotional material the state government prepares to promote tourism, in the state.
