Philanthropists are a virtuous breed. They are the sort of individuals who strive to create a reformed society. It is for this purpose the "The Big Foot Trust", a Public Regd. Charitable Trust was instituted by few like-minded people, with an ethical code to uphold and further the social standing of the needy and to propagate, boost and enhance the arts and traditions. This non- profit organization looks after a lot of things. Noteworthy amongst them is the funding of all the academic requirements of the financially needy students.

The three top scorers in the S.S.C.E. board exams were felicitated on the 17th of July 2005 by the " Big Foot Trust" in a ceremony organized by them at the premises of " Ancestral Goa" .at the Big Foot. The schools that wereincluded in the felicitation were Saviour of the World, Loutulim, Our Lady of Snows, Raia, St. Thereza's Raia. The chief guest of the function was Mr. Shamrao V. Bandodkar, the Assr. Headmaster of Sarvodaya Soc. H.S., In Curchorem. Mr Bandodkar is also the winner of the prestigious National award for teachers. The function was presided over by the founder trustee Mr. Ashok Dave, Mr. Santosh Audi & Mr. Quertaliano Faleiro the other trustees. This is the third annual felicitation that the " Trust" is holding.

Cash prizes, gifts and mementoes were given away by the trust to the nine students who were present at the felicitation.

JORIS ENTERPRISES run by Mr. Ashok H. Dave solely handle the outdoor media and billboard accounts. It was one of the first few agencies that involved itself in social acts, like the building of bus shelters and environment awareness. Mr. Ashok H. Dave is the founder member of the Big Foot Trust and is also a Secretary of the Gujarathi Samaj Deaf and Dumb School , Aquem.
